Privacy Policy —What We Collect, What We Never Touch
Last updated: 2026-10-15
A plain-English account of how MixU Online treats your information: what a video chat actually sends us, what stays on your device, and the rights you have over all of it.
This Privacy Policy explains how MixU Online collects, uses, keeps, and deletes information when you use the site — random matching, one-on-one video calls, coins, and support included. It applies together with our Terms of Service, and if anything here makes you uncomfortable, the right move is to stop using the service and tell us why. We would rather fix a real concern than lose you quietly.
1. What We Collect
What we hold depends on how you use the site. Trying a call without an account shares very little; a registered account shares more.
- Account details — if you register: an email address, a display name, and login credentials. Profile extras are optional, and you choose what to fill in.
- Device and connection data — device type, operating system, browser version, IP address, and an approximate region derived from it. This keeps video calls compatible and helps us stop abuse.
- Usage data — which pages you open, which features you use, session length, and crash or performance logs. This is how we learn what to fix and what to build next.
- Purchase records — when you buy coins: the amount, currency, status, and a transaction reference from the payment provider. Full card numbers go to the payment processor, not to us.
- Support correspondence — what you send us when you ask for help, appeal a decision, or report another user, including any screenshots you choose to attach.
2. What We Never Touch
Some categories are simply off the table, because a random video chat site has no legitimate use for them:
- Your phone's contact list — we never ask for it, and matching does not use it
- Precise GPS location — an approximate region from your IP is as close as we get
- Your photo library, files, or anything on your device outside the browser session
- The content of your video calls, for advertising or profiling purposes
We do not sell personal information to anyone, in any form, and "sell" here means the broad version — no data-broker arrangements, no ad networks buying profiles of our users.
3. How Video Call Data Is Handled
A video call needs your camera and microphone, and the permission prompt comes from your browser or operating system — you can decline it, or revoke it later, and text-based browsing of the site works without it. During a call, the media stream exists to connect the two of you live; we process the limited technical and connection data needed to set up and maintain that connection, such as network quality and call duration metadata.
Privacy here is architectural as much as legal: a private video call on MixU Online is a closed room for two — there is no public feed, no audience, and no profile trail left behind for strangers to browse. What we cannot control is the person at the other end: anyone can screenshot or record their own screen, so share on camera only what you would accept existing beyond the conversation.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use a small set of cookies and similar storage:
- Essential — keep you logged in, remember your session, and protect against abuse. The site does not work without these.
- Preferences — remember choices like language and display settings between visits.
- Analytics — aggregated usage statistics that tell us which pages load slowly or confuse people, not who you are.
Your browser lets you block or delete cookies at any time; its help section explains how. Blocking essential cookies will break sign-in and matching, but reading the site will still work.
5. Third Parties and When We Share
MixU Online runs with the help of a few categories of service provider, each bound by its own contract and confidentiality obligations:
- Hosting and infrastructure — the servers and content delivery that keep the site up
- Payment processors — to complete coin purchases and handle billing security
- Analytics — aggregated, pseudonymous usage measurement
Beyond that, we may disclose information where the law requires it, where a lawful request compels it, or where it is necessary to protect users from fraud or serious harm. If MixU Online is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law. Third-party sites we link to run under their own policies, and a link is not an endorsement of how they treat your data.
6. How Long We Keep Data
We keep information only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for. Account data lasts while the account does. Short-lived technical logs cycle out on a rolling basis. Purchase and transaction records stay longer, because accounting and tax rules require them to. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or strip it down to a form that can no longer identify you.
7. Your Rights: Access, Export, Deletion
Depending on where you live, the law gives you specific rights over your personal data, and we honour them regardless of geography where we reasonably can:
- Access — ask what personal information we hold about you
- Correction — have inaccurate or incomplete details fixed
- Export — receive a copy of your data in a machine-readable format
- Deletion — ask us to delete your account and the personal data attached to it, subject to the legal-retention exceptions above
- Objection and restriction — ask us to limit certain processing while a request is reviewed
To use any of these rights, write to support[at]mixuonline.com or use the contact page. We may need to verify it is really you before acting, and we answer within a reasonable timeframe.
8. How We Protect Data
Traffic to and from MixU Online is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted to people who need it for their work, and we review our security practices as the product grows. No online service can honestly promise absolute security, and we will not pretend otherwise — using a strong, unique password and a private device remains part of the equation on your side.
9. Changes to This Policy
When the product changes, this page changes with it. Material updates move the "Last updated" date at the top, and where the law requires more than a date change, we will give extra notice or ask for consent. Checking back occasionally is the simplest way to stay current.
10. Talk to Us About Privacy
Privacy questions, deletion requests, export requests, or a simple "what do you actually store about me?" — all of it goes to support[at]mixuonline.com, or through the MixU Online contact page. A person reads every message, and privacy requests are not routed differently from any other support mail.
